I’m Jenny Palmer, trading as Jennifer Palmer and Lightwell Pilates. I run Strength You Can Trust and the Lightwell Pilates classes and library. I’m responsible for the information you share with me. You can reach me at jennifer@lightwellpilates.com.
What I collect
When you sign up for the free taster or my mailing list: your email address (and your name, if you give it).
When you buy a course or library membership: your name, email, and payment details. Payments are handled by my payment provider, so I never see or store your card number.
If you join the WhatsApp group: your phone number and name. Other group members can see these, as with any WhatsApp group.
If you visit my website or click my ads: information about how you use the site, collected by cookies and tools such as the Meta pixel, if you allow them.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
To send you the taster and my emails. I do this because you asked me to (your consent), and you can withdraw it at any time.
To provide the course or library you’ve bought (so I can fulfil our contract).
To keep my accounts and tax records, which I’m legally required to do.
To show my programmes to people who might like them through Meta ads, and to understand which ads work (only if you allow cookies).
Who I share it with
I use a small number of services to run my business: Squarespace (website, payments and email), Vimeo (video hosting), Meta (Instagram, Facebook ads and WhatsApp). They process information for me and have their own privacy policies. Some of them are based outside the UK, and they use safeguards to protect your information. I don’t sell your information to anyone.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Records of purchases are kept for six years for tax purposes. You can ask me to delete your information at any time, except records I’m legally required to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent. Just email me. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
